INTRODUCING THE SAFE SWIM BADGE

10 Oct 21

Dear NEOM Community Residents,

Community Services is delighted to announce that we will be introducing a new Safe Swim Badge!

What is the Safe Swim Badge?

The Safe Swim Badge is being implemented to ensure the safety of children at our swimming pools. Children who do not hold a Safe Swim Badge are not allowed to swim without parent supervision after October 23, 2021.

Who is the Safe Swim Badge for?

The Safe Swim Badge is for children aged 10-14 years old who can demonstrate their swimming skills and understanding of water safety by passing an assessment. Details of the assessment content can be found in the attached document.

Please Note: Children under 10 years old are not allowed to swim without parent supervision.

How can I book my child in for an assessment to get their Safe Swim Badge?

Complete the attached form and return to any community pool or email to Katie (katie.hempstock@NEOM.com) to book in for your assessment.

When will the assessment be?

Our first assessments will be from October 12 – October 22, 2021.

What happens if my child doesn’t pass the assessment?

Children who do not pass the assessment will not be allowed to swim without parent supervision. The decision of the assessor will be final. We will be announcing a swimming lesson program soon so child can enroll in them to improve their swimming abilities and complete another assessment at a later time.

Life is cool in the pool!

Kind regards,

Community Services Department
